Bins, Bins, BINS!
A Bin starter guide to help you get sorted.
Storage bins can be blah or BAM depending on what type of bin you use, and where you deploy that bin. Here’s your BLUF* on bins.
Bins can be used to store similar things together in a defined space. But they can also be used as a way to collect and redistribute unlike items quickly (for example, use a bin as ‘clutter magnet’ or keep one on the stairs to shuttle things up or down.)
Clear bins are GOLD for kids stuff. Because with kids, out of sight is out of mind, and out of mind is “where is it, mom?”
Bigger isn’t always better. Make sure you declutter before organizing in bins.
I made this starter guide for Bins! I did my best to break this into a few sections by bin type and use, and include where (in US) you can buy these bins. I didn’t really include concrete pricing or links, because companies change this stuff all of the time. But I did do my best to include ranges of costs I found.
