Who I Am
Kate's story
I spent 12 years helping Fortune 500 companies fix broken systems - the kind that waste millions of dollars and thousands of hours. I was a Senior Manager of Operations, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a certified Change Management professional. I built systems for a living.
Then I had kids. And I looked around my own house and thought: wait, why is this so hard? I have every tool in the world for making a business run efficiently. Why can’t I find my kid’s shoes?
That’s how Sorted State started.
The same frameworks that run Fortune 500 companies can run your home. I just had to translate them from corporate language into real life.
I’m a professional organizer, a process nerd, a busy mom of two in the Philly suburbs, and the person who still sometimes finds Goldfish crackers in the couch cushions. I get it. And I can help.
We believe time is your most valuable resource.
We believe your home should be a launchpad for your life, not a warehouse for your stuff.
You’re fighting for a calmer mind, for a moment to breathe, for the freedom to be present with the people you love.
That’s what we’re really building - not organized closets, but time back in your day.
The Sorted State Philosophy
We’re not the right choice for everyone.
If you are struggling with hoarding behaviors beyond basic disorganization, we would recommend working with a home organizer who specializes in this type of professional organizing.
Some individuals are looking to organize to obtain a certain look or home appearance. If you are hoping to achieve a purely aesthetic change to your home, we recommend working with another home organizer.
Manna On Main Street Donation Program
Giving back in the local community is something I am deeply passionate about, and I’m proud to contribute to the mission of Manna on Main Street.
With your permission, I will donate any non-expired decluttered pantry items to Manna on Main’s food pantry.
Manna on Main Street is committed to ending hunger in the North Penn region by providing food, fulfilling social service and education needs, and conducting community outreach. Through a food pantry and soup kitchen, emergency financial aid, counseling and referrals, and education opportunities, we serve those in need with the hope “that everyone might be fed.”
